From the first sketch to the final varnish, A Duet is made by hand. Based on Edgar Degas's original. This impressionist oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants fine art oil painting with the character of an original.
circa 1877-1879
pastel over monotype on paper
Private collection.
As office wall decor, the piece pairs naturally with other impressionist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of A Duet by eye and build up the fine art forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished fine art oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this fine art oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give a home office an instant focal point. Its impressionist palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
In short: A Duet - Edgar Degas - Oil Painting combines an impressionist composition, a 100% hand painted oil painting process, and the flexibility of made-to-order canvas sizes — a dependable choice for fine art oil painting and office wall decor.
