About This Piece
Looking for landscape oil painting with real brushwork? A River Landscape with Travellers Resting on the Edge of a Wood is reproduced by hand in oils on artist-grade canvas after Thomas Gainsborough. The result is a piece of classical oil painting wall decor that anchors a living room and rewards a closer look.
The Story Behind the Painting
A river landscape with travellers resting on the edge of a wood, a horse drawn cart before a bridge and donkeys on a bank
Oil on canvas
77.5 x 145 cm. (30.5 x 57.1 in.)
Our artists reproduce this landscape composition in oil on canvas by hand, preserving the tonal range that makes landscape oil painting so sought after for a living room.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for classical reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the landscape tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed landscape oil painting simply cannot match.
