ack Spigot, a dark bay racehorse with jockey up - John Frederick Herring Sr - Entryway Wall Decor
About This Piece
ack Spigot, a dark bay racehorse with jockey up - John Frederick Herring Sr - Entryway Wall Decor suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a fine art oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of an entryway gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
About the Artwork
In this fine art work by John Frederick Herring Sr, color and structure do most of the storytelling. Because each piece is a hand painted oil painting rather than a printed reproduction, the layered pigment catches highlights differently across the day — exactly the quality people expect from vintage oil painting wall decor.
How It Is Made
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the fine art brushwork visible and gives the vintage oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
