Apparition of Our Lord to Saint Peter - James Tissot - Oil Painting Wall Decor
About This Piece
Apparition of Our Lord to Saint Peter - James Tissot - Oil Painting Wall Decor suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a fine art oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a living room gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
Composition & Subject
Apparition de Notre-Seigneur à St-Pierre
1886-1894
Opaque watercolor over graphite on gray wove paper
Brooklyn Museum, United States.
As living room wall decor, the piece pairs naturally with other timeless wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
Materials & Craftsmanship
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Apparition of Our Lord to Saint Peter by eye and build up the fine art forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished fine art oil painting its luminosity.
