Birth of the Horses by Franz Marc

Birth of the Horses - Franz Marc - Oil Painting for Home Office

Product Overview

Birth of the Horses by Franz Marc is one of those images that never dates. Our studio recreates it as a hand painted oil painting — textured, color-rich, and ready to hang as canvas wall art in a home office, study, or reception area.

Composition & Subject

1913
Color woodcut
Los Angeles County Museum of Art, United States.

The wildlife subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of expressionist oil painting wall decor.

How It Is Made

This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Birth of the Horses by eye and build up the wildlife forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished wildlife oil painting its luminosity.
