Upgrade your walls with Calves in a Meadow - Briton Riviere - Oil Painting Wall Decor. Every landscape reproduction is painted entirely by hand, so the surface carries the depth and variation of an original oil painting rather than the flatness of a digital canvas print.

Oil on millboard
A rural scene depicting a small herd of calves in a lush meadow within a fertile landscape of gently rolling hills. Painted in a naturalistic style, two calves are visible in the foreground, one resting on the ground, the other standing at its side, calling in gesture. Beyond the scene are four calves in the background; two graze on the left while another rests, and to the right another faces away from the viewer, scratching with its right hind leg. A flock of birds fly over the meadow, some landing on amongst the cattle. An undulating landscape of trees and fields lined with hedgerows is visible in the background, beneath a hazy summer sky.
Every hand painted oil painting in this landscape series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Calves in a Meadow by eye and build up the landscape forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished landscape oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this landscape oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give a bedroom an instant focal point. Its timeless palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
