Nothing softens a dining room like a painted surface. Catskill Scenery by Thomas Cole arrives as a hand painted oil painting on canvas, offering the wildlife detail, soft gradients, and tactile finish that wildlife oil painting shoppers look for.
circa 1833
Oil on canvas
Saint Louis Art Museum, MO, United States.
The wildlife subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of heritage oil painting wall decor.
We use a 100% hand-painted process: stretched artist-grade canvas, layered oil pigment, and a final protective varnish. There are no inkjet prints or mechanical reproductions in this collection — just a painted wildlife artwork made to order.
Build a dining room gallery wall around this wildlife oil painting, or let it stand alone as a single statement. The hand painted canvas finish keeps the wildlife composition looking intentional in both classic and contemporary rooms.
