Clytemnestra from the Battlements of Argos Watches for the Beacon Fires - Sir Frederic Lord Leighton - Oil Painting Wall Decor
Product Overview
Nothing softens a dining room like a painted surface. Clytemnestra from the Battlements of Argos Watches for the Beacon Fires by Sir Frederic Lord Leighton arrives as a hand painted oil painting on canvas, offering the fine art detail, soft gradients, and tactile finish that fine art oil painting shoppers look for.
Composition & Subject
circa 1874
Oil on canvas
173.5 cm (68.31 in.) x 123.8 cm (48.74 in.)
Leighton House Museum, London, United Kingdom.
The fine art subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of romantic oil painting wall decor.
How It Is Made
Trained artists work in stages — underpainting, mid-tones, highlights, and detail — using traditional oils on canvas. Because nothing is printed, every hand painted oil painting has its own subtle texture and depth.
What Is Included
- Every fine art canvas is hand painted in oils; no mechanical or digital reproduction at any stage.
- A generous 2-inch blank canvas border surrounds the image to simplify mounting.
- We dispatch worldwide ourselves, so there are no middlemen in the chain.
- Available canvas sizes for this hand painted oil painting: 20 X 24 in, 24 X 36 in, 30 X 40 in, 36 X 48 in, 48 X 72 in.
- Choose from standard sizes or request a custom dimension to fit your wall.
- Flexible shipping through DHL, UPS, FedEx, USPS and partner networks.
- We stretch your canvas onto wooden bars at no extra charge, and can arrange custom framing.
- We send a digital image of your fine art painting for approval before it ships.
Where to Hang It
For dining room wall art that does not feel generic, a painted fine art canvas is hard to beat. It is a popular fine art oil painting pick for new homeowners and a durable alternative to seasonal poster art.
