Cottage Door with Girl and Pigs - Thomas Gainsborough - Oil Painting Wall Decor
At a Glance
Upgrade your walls with Cottage Door with Girl and Pigs - Thomas Gainsborough - Oil Painting Wall Decor. Every figurative reproduction is painted entirely by hand, so the surface carries the depth and variation of an original oil painting rather than the flatness of a digital canvas print.
The Story Behind the Painting
circa 1786
Oil on canvas
Ipswich Borough Council Museums and Galleries, England.
Every hand painted oil painting in this figurative series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
How It Is Made
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the figurative brushwork visible and gives the classical oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
