Cupid Flying over Water - William-Adolphe Bouguereau - Hand Painted Oil Painting brings gallery-caliber art into everyday spaces. This fine art oil painting is a 100% hand painted oil painting on canvas, created for buyers who want genuine realist canvas wall art instead of a mass-produced poster or paper print.
The young winged god is shown hovering above a misty pond, his exquisitely modeled toes barely touching the water, his hands entangled in the leafy branches above his head as he gazes down at his reflection in the pond, lost in a reverie. The lush vegetation of the scene is as delicately brushed in as an Impressionist water scene, perhaps by Monet. There is no evidence of the "licked-surface" rendering of the juste milieu Academy painters. Nor is it an incredibly detailed rendering in the style of Meissonnier.
The fine art subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of realist oil painting wall decor.
Expect subtle, hand-made variation rather than factory uniformity. Each fine art canvas is painted with oils, allowed to cure properly, and inspected before it is approved for shipment.
Wondering where fine art oil painting looks best? Try a gallery wall mantel, a dining room sideboard, or a hallway gallery wall. The fine art subject reads clearly from a distance and rewards close viewing up near.
Order Cupid Flying over Water as a hand painted oil painting on canvas and add lasting realist character to your gallery wall. Custom sizes, a digital proof before dispatch, and secure worldwide shipping are included.
