Dr Septimus Leighton (The Artist's Father) - Sir Frederic Lord Leighton - Vintage Oil Painting
Product Overview
Nothing softens a hallway like a painted surface. Dr Septimus Leighton (The Artist's Father) by Sir Frederic Lord Leighton arrives as a hand painted oil painting on canvas, offering the fine art detail, soft gradients, and tactile finish that fine art oil painting shoppers look for.
The Story Behind the Painting
1855
Oil on canvas
Leighton House Museum, London, United Kingdom.
Collectors often choose this fine art image when searching for fine art oil painting that feels substantial rather than decorative or disposable.
Materials & Craftsmanship
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the fine art brushwork visible and gives the vintage oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
