Choose Dynamism of a Soccer Player as a hand painted oil painting and skip the compromise of printed wall decor. Based on Umberto Boccioni's original. Our artists rebuild the fine art composition stroke by stroke, producing timeless canvas wall art with lasting color depth.
1913
Oil on canvas
6' 4 1/8" x 6' 7 1/8" (193.2 x 201 cm)
Museum of Modern Art, New York, United States.
In this work a soccer player dematerializes into a luminous and flickering atmosphere, save for his firmly sculpted calf, at center. Here Boccioni offered a demonstration of a principle he articulated in his 1910 text "Technical Manifesto of Futurist Painting": "To paint a human figure you must not paint it; you must render the whole of its surrounding atmosphere . . . movement and light destroy the materiality of bodies." With stippled brushwork and kaleidoscopic color, the painting communicates the spirited energy of a youthful athlete.
The fine art subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of timeless oil painting wall decor.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Dynamism of a Soccer Player by eye and build up the fine art forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished fine art oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this fine art oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give a bedroom an instant focal point. Its timeless palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
Order Dynamism of a Soccer Player as a hand painted oil painting on canvas and add lasting timeless character to your bedroom. Custom sizes, a digital proof before dispatch, and secure worldwide shipping are included.
