Looking for still life oil painting with real brushwork? Fish FLowers is reproduced by hand in oils on artist-grade canvas after Albert Marquet. The result is a piece of fauvist oil painting wall decor that anchors a hallway and rewards a closer look.
ca. 1944-1945
Oil on canvas
As hallway wall art, the piece pairs naturally with other fauvist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Fish FLowers by eye and build up the still life forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished still life oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this still life oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give a hallway an instant focal point. Its fauvist palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
