At a Glance

From the first sketch to the final varnish, Fishermen by a Lake is made by hand. Based on Pierre-Auguste Renoir's original. This impressionist oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants wildlife oil painting with the character of an original.

Composition & Subject

Fishermen by a Lake has the kind of quiet presence that suits a dining room without dominating it after Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Our artists work from the original image in stages, building the wildlife forms in oil on canvas. The finished piece sits comfortably alongside wildlife oil painting and other impressionist wall art.

Materials & Craftsmanship

This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Fishermen by a Lake by eye and build up the wildlife forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished wildlife oil painting its luminosity.
