Girl with Blue Eyes and a Ponytail - Alexej von Jawlensky - Hand Painted Oil Painting
About This Piece
Nothing softens a home office like a painted surface. Girl with Blue Eyes and a Ponytail by Alexej von Jawlensky arrives as a hand painted oil painting on canvas, offering the figurative detail, soft gradients, and tactile finish that portrait oil painting shoppers look for.
The Story Behind the Painting
circa 1916
Oil on linen-finish paper on board
Private collection.
As office wall decor, the piece pairs naturally with other traditional wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
How It Is Made
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for traditional reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the figurative tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed portrait oil painting simply cannot match.
