Grand Prix Day (Le Jour de Grand Prix) - Frederick Childe Hassam - Hand Painted Oil Painting
Product Overview
From the first sketch to the final varnish, Grand Prix Day (Le Jour de Grand Prix) is made by hand. Based on Frederick Childe Hassam's original. This timeless oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants portrait oil painting with the character of an original.
The Story Behind the Painting
1887-1888
Oil on canvas
91.44 cm (36 in.) x 121.92 cm (48 in.)
New Britain Museum of American Art, United States.
The figurative subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of timeless oil painting wall decor.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Grand Prix Day (Le Jour de Grand Prix) by eye and build up the figurative forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished portrait oil painting its luminosity.
