For collectors searching seascape oil painting, Grey Weather in Venice is a dependable choice. Painted in layered oils on canvas after Albert Marquet, this fauvist work reads equally well as classic canvas wall art and as a thoughtful housewarming gift.
TEMPS GRIS à VENISE, 1936
Oil on canvas
80 x 63 cm. (31.5 x 24.8 in.)
Every hand painted oil painting in this seascape series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
We use a 100% hand-painted process: stretched artist-grade canvas, layered oil pigment, and a final protective varnish. There are no inkjet prints or mechanical reproductions in this collection — just a painted seascape artwork made to order.
Build an entryway gallery wall around this seascape oil painting, or let it stand alone as a single statement. The hand painted canvas finish keeps the seascape composition looking intentional in both classic and contemporary rooms.
