Horse on Road, Tahitian Landscape by Paul Gauguin

Horse on Road, Tahitian Landscape - Paul Gauguin - Wildlife Oil Painting Wall Decor

About This Piece

Horse on Road, Tahitian Landscape - Paul Gauguin - Wildlife Oil Painting Wall Decor suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a wildlife oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a living room gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.

The Story Behind the Painting

1899
Oil on canvas
Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Russia.

The wildlife subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of post-impressionist oil painting wall decor.

How It Is Made

Materials matter for post-impressionist wall decor. That is why this piece is built on artist-grade canvas with lightfast oil colors, applied by hand rather than output from a printer, and sealed for long-term display.
