In the Park (The Promenade) - Maurice Brazil Prendergast - Oil Painting Wall Decor
About This Piece
Nothing softens an entryway like a painted surface. In the Park (The Promenade) by Maurice Brazil Prendergast arrives as a hand painted oil painting on canvas, offering the landscape detail, soft gradients, and tactile finish that landscape oil painting shoppers look for.
About the Artwork
circa 1914-1916
Oil on canvas
63.5 cm (25 in.) x 91.44 cm (36 in.)
Private collection.
The landscape subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of elegant oil painting wall decor.
Materials & Craftsmanship
Each canvas is painted entirely by hand with professional oil paints on artist-grade cotton canvas. No printing, giclée, or digital imaging is used at any stage, so the surface keeps the slight relief and color variation of real brushwork.
