Upgrade your walls with In the Tepidarium - John William Godward - Fine Art Oil Painting Wall Decor. Every fine art reproduction is painted entirely by hand, so the surface carries the depth and variation of an original oil painting rather than the flatness of a digital canvas print.

Oil on canvas
Undraped nudes are rare in Godward's oeuvre. In this exceptional example, the delicate flesh tones are offset against a virtuoso display of technique in saturated gemstone-like colours. Evidence of his skill as a draftsman is everywhere, notably in the lines of the receding and uneven tesserae. In addition to the unconventional model's nudity, In the Tepidarium is one of the few paintings Godward painted indoors in a thermae, an ancient Roman bath.
Our artists reproduce this fine art composition in oil on canvas by hand, preserving the tonal range that makes fine art oil painting so sought after for a hallway.
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for traditional reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the fine art tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed fine art oil painting simply cannot match.
traditional canvas wall art is one of the easiest ways to warm a hallway. Pair this piece with natural linen, dark wood, or brushed brass, and let the hand painted surface do the rest.
