In the Villages the Sick Were Presented to Him by James Tissot

In the Villages the Sick Were Presented to Him - James Tissot - Hand Painted Oil Painting

Product Overview

Upgrade your walls with In the Villages the Sick Were Presented to Him - James Tissot - Hand Painted Oil Painting. Every cityscape reproduction is painted entirely by hand, so the surface carries the depth and variation of an original oil painting rather than the flatness of a digital canvas print.

Composition & Subject

Dans les villages on lui présentait des malades
1886-1896
Opaque watercolor over graphite on gray wove paper
Brooklyn Museum, United States.

As entryway wall decor, the piece pairs naturally with other traditional wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for traditional reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the cityscape tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed cityscape oil painting simply cannot match.
