About the Artwork
James Hamilton, 2nd Earl of Clanbrassil (1730-1798), with his bay hunter Mowbray, resting on a wooded path by a lake
Oil on canvas
101.6 x 128.3 cm. (40 x 50.5 in.)
Collectors often choose this landscape image when searching for landscape oil painting that feels substantial rather than decorative or disposable.
Materials & Craftsmanship
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the landscape brushwork visible and gives the vintage oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
