Japanese Switzerland (Hazel and Alice in the Snow) - Sir John Lavery - Oil Painting
About This Piece
Japanese Switzerland (Hazel and Alice in the Snow) by Sir John Lavery is one of those images that never dates. Our studio recreates it as a hand painted oil painting — textured, color-rich, and ready to hang as canvas wall art in a home office, study, or reception area.
The Story Behind the Painting
1913
Oil on panel
Private collection.
As office wall decor, the piece pairs naturally with other traditional wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
How It Is Made
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for traditional reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the landscape tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed landscape oil painting simply cannot match.
