Product Overview
From the first sketch to the final varnish, Madame Vuillard the the Hotel des Ducs de Normandie is made by hand. Based on Edouard Vuillard's original. This post-impressionist oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants fine art oil painting with the character of an original.
The Story Behind the Painting
circa 1913
Peinture a la colle on canvas
199.4 cm (78.5 in.) x 86.5 cm (34.06 in.)
Private collection.
As entryway wall decor, the piece pairs naturally with other post-impressionist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
How It Is Made
Materials matter for post-impressionist wall decor. That is why this piece is built on artist-grade canvas with lightfast oil colors, applied by hand rather than output from a printer, and sealed for long-term display.
