Choose Male Nude from the Back as a hand painted oil painting and skip the compromise of printed wall decor. Based on Christian Rohlfs's original. Our artists rebuild the figurative composition stroke by stroke, producing timeless canvas wall art with lasting color depth.
1909
Brush drawing and watercolour on firm brownish drawing paper
As entryway wall decor, the piece pairs naturally with other timeless wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Male Nude from the Back by eye and build up the figurative forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished portrait oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this portrait oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give an entryway an instant focal point. Its timeless palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
