Mare with a Foal (Horses in the Morning Sun) - Franz Marc - Oil Painting
Product Overview
Looking for wildlife oil painting with real brushwork? Mare with a Foal (Horses in the Morning Sun) is reproduced by hand in oils on artist-grade canvas after Franz Marc. The result is a piece of expressionist oil painting wall decor that anchors a bedroom and rewards a closer look.
About the Artwork
1909
Oil on canvas
73 cm (28.74 in.) x 83 cm (32.68 in.)
Private collection.
The wildlife subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of expressionist oil painting wall decor.
How It Is Made
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for expressionist reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the wildlife tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed wildlife oil painting simply cannot match.
