Marjatta and the Christ Child - Akseli Gallen-Kallela - Oil Painting for Hallway
Product Overview
Nothing softens a hallway like a painted surface. Marjatta and the Christ Child by Akseli Gallen-Kallela arrives as a hand painted oil painting on canvas, offering the figurative detail, soft gradients, and tactile finish that portrait oil painting shoppers look for.
The Story Behind the Painting
1895-1896
Oil on canvas
Private collection.
Every hand painted oil painting in this figurative series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
Materials & Craftsmanship
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for traditional reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the figurative tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed portrait oil painting simply cannot match.
Specifications & What You Receive
- Every figurative canvas is hand painted in oils; no mechanical or digital reproduction at any stage.
- An extra 2-inch blank border is left around all edges for easy stretching and framing.
- No middlemen — we ship directly to you worldwide.
- Available canvas sizes for this hand painted oil painting: 20 X 40 in, 24 X 48 in, 30 X 60 in, 36 X 72 in.
- Custom sizes available: order this painting in your preferred dimensions.
- Affordable delivery options via DHL, UPS, FedEx, USPS and more.
- Complimentary stretching over wooden stretcher bars; ask us about a custom frame.
- A digital photo of your finished painting is emailed for approval before shipment.
Where to Hang It
traditional canvas wall art is one of the easiest ways to warm a hallway. Pair this piece with natural linen, dark wood, or brushed brass, and let the hand painted surface do the rest.
