Mother about to Wash her Sleepy Child - Mary Cassatt - Bedroom Wall Art
Product Overview
Mother about to Wash her Sleepy Child - Mary Cassatt - Bedroom Wall Art suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a portrait oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a bedroom gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
About the Artwork
1880
Oil on canvas
65 x 100 cm
Los Angeles County Museum of Art, United States.
The figurative subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of impressionist oil painting wall decor.
How It Is Made
Trained artists work in stages — underpainting, mid-tones, highlights, and detail — using traditional oils on canvas. Because nothing is printed, every hand painted oil painting has its own subtle texture and depth.
