Mr. Dixon's Mountaineer, a Chestnut colt, Held by a Groom Outside a Stable - John Frederick Herring Sr - Landscape Oil Painting Wall Decor
About This Piece
Mr. Dixon's Mountaineer, a Chestnut colt, Held by a Groom Outside a Stable - John Frederick Herring Sr - Landscape Oil Painting Wall Decor suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a landscape oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a dining room gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
Composition & Subject

Oil on canvas
22 x 29.5 in (55.88 x 74.93 cm)
Collectors often choose this landscape image when searching for landscape oil painting that feels substantial rather than decorative or disposable.
How It Is Made
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the landscape brushwork visible and gives the vintage oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
