Mrs. Elliott Fitch Shepard (Margaret Louise Vanderbilt) - John Singer Sargent - Realist Fine Art Reproduction
At a Glance
Mrs. Elliott Fitch Shepard (Margaret Louise Vanderbilt) - John Singer Sargent - Realist Fine Art Reproduction suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a fine art oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of an entryway gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
About the Artwork
1888
Oil on canvas
213.36 cm (84 in.) x 121.92 cm (48 in.)
San Antonio Museum of Art, United States.
The fine art subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of realist oil painting wall decor.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
Trained artists work in stages — underpainting, mid-tones, highlights, and detail — using traditional oils on canvas. Because nothing is printed, every hand painted oil painting has its own subtle texture and depth.
