Choose My Little Girl as a hand painted oil painting and skip the compromise of printed wall decor. Based on Frank Weston Benson's original. Our artists rebuild the figurative composition stroke by stroke, producing heritage canvas wall art with lasting color depth.

Painted in 1895, 'My Little Girl' is a striking depiction of Benson’s firstborn child, Eleanor, who would eventually appear in at least sixteen canvases over the course of his career. Her steady gaze immediately engages the viewer, as does her stark white dress, glowing against the shadowy room beyond and rendered with ruffled accents echoing the curved sweep of her hair. Like the dozing cat standing stoically by her side, five-year-old Eleanor betrays none of the restlessness one might expect of a child asked to remain still for her artist father, and for this reason she became one of Benson’s favorites of his ‘homegrown models.’
Our artists reproduce this figurative composition in oil on canvas by hand, preserving the tonal range that makes portrait oil painting so sought after for a home office.
We use a 100% hand-painted process: stretched artist-grade canvas, layered oil pigment, and a final protective varnish. There are no inkjet prints or mechanical reproductions in this collection — just a painted figurative artwork made to order.
Build a home office gallery wall around this portrait oil painting, or let it stand alone as a single statement. The hand painted canvas finish keeps the figurative composition looking intentional in both classic and contemporary rooms.
