Mystical Head: Female Head on a Blue Background - Alexej von Jawlensky - Canvas Oil Painting
Product Overview
Mystical Head: Female Head on a Blue Background - Alexej von Jawlensky - Canvas Oil Painting suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a fine art oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a dining room gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
The Story Behind the Painting
circa 1917
Oil and pencil on linen-finished paper on board
Private collection.
As dining room wall art, the piece pairs naturally with other traditional wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
Materials & Craftsmanship
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for traditional reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the fine art tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed fine art oil painting simply cannot match.
What Is Included
- Every fine art canvas is hand painted in oils; no mechanical or digital reproduction at any stage.
- Comes with a 2-inch unpainted margin on every side, ready for stretcher bars or a frame.
- We dispatch worldwide ourselves, so there are no middlemen in the chain.
- Available canvas sizes for this hand painted oil painting: 20 X 24 in, 24 X 36 in, 30 X 40 in, 36 X 48 in, 48 X 72 in.

Wall Decor & Gifting
traditional canvas wall art is one of the easiest ways to warm a dining room. Pair this piece with natural linen, dark wood, or brushed brass, and let the hand painted surface do the rest.
