Piviones (Peonies) - Pierre-Auguste Renoir - Oil Painting is part of our hand painted oil painting collection from the Pierre-Auguste Renoir Paintings selection. Each canvas is worked by a trained artist, then inspected before dispatch — a practical route to owning impressionist wall decor at a fraction of gallery pricing.
1878
Oil on canvas
Private collection.
Piviones is painted in a rich impasto with the most brilliant of colors, handled like a mosaic, with the colors dragged to produce a richly textured surface. The wall is a symphony of lavender with rich blues, mauves and citron tones worked into it. The emphasis is on the ornamentation of the canvas itself, with voluptuous, richly colored flowers, in swirls of color and expressive power.
As office wall decor, the piece pairs naturally with other impressionist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
Trained artists work in stages — underpainting, mid-tones, highlights, and detail — using traditional oils on canvas. Because nothing is printed, every hand painted oil painting has its own subtle texture and depth.
For office wall decor that does not feel generic, a painted still life canvas is hard to beat. It is a popular still life oil painting pick for new homeowners and a durable alternative to seasonal poster art.
In short: Piviones (Peonies) - Pierre-Auguste Renoir - Oil Painting combines an impressionist composition, a 100% hand painted oil painting process, and the flexibility of made-to-order canvas sizes — a dependable choice for still life oil painting and office wall decor.
