Poppies, Isles of Shoals 1891 - Frederick Childe Hassam - Oil Painting
About This Piece
Poppies, Isles of Shoals 1891 - Frederick Childe Hassam - Oil Painting suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a still life oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a bedroom gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
Composition & Subject
1891
watercolor on paper
Private collection.
Every hand painted oil painting in this still life series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
How It Is Made
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Poppies, Isles of Shoals 1891 by eye and build up the still life forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished still life oil painting its luminosity.
