Looking for still life oil painting with real brushwork? Poppy Field is reproduced by hand in oils on artist-grade canvas after Gustav Klimt. The result is a piece of art nouveau oil painting wall decor that anchors a bedroom and rewards a closer look.

Oil on canvas
110 x 110 cm
Osterreichische Galerie Belvedere, Austria.
Klimt liked to paint his landscapes while on holiday, without preliminary studies, rather in the way that Renoir liked to paint flowers with the paints left over from his life studies as a means of relaxation. Klimt's landscapes are in a sense his holiday takes.
Collectors often choose this still life image when searching for still life oil painting that feels substantial rather than decorative or disposable.
We use a 100% hand-painted process: stretched artist-grade canvas, layered oil pigment, and a final protective varnish. There are no inkjet prints or mechanical reproductions in this collection — just a painted still life artwork made to order.
Build a bedroom gallery wall around this still life oil painting, or let it stand alone as a single statement. The hand painted canvas finish keeps the still life composition looking intentional in both classic and contemporary rooms.
