Portrait of a Young Woman in Blue - William McGregor Paxton - Oil Painting for Dining Room
About This Piece
Portrait of a Young Woman in Blue by William McGregor Paxton is one of those images that never dates. Our studio recreates it as a hand painted oil painting — textured, color-rich, and ready to hang as canvas wall art in a dining room, study, or reception area.
The Story Behind the Painting
circa 1900
Oil on canvas
Private collection.
Collectors often choose this figurative image when searching for portrait oil painting that feels substantial rather than decorative or disposable.
How It Is Made
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the figurative brushwork visible and gives the vintage oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
What Is Included
- Every figurative canvas is hand painted in oils; no mechanical or digital reproduction at any stage.
- Edges include an additional 2-inch blank allowance, ideal for gallery wrapping or framing.
- No middlemen — we ship directly to you worldwide.
- Quick turnaround — most in-stock figurative paintings ship in 3–10 working days.
- Available canvas sizes for this hand painted oil painting: 20 X 24 in, 24 X 36 in, 30 X 40 in, 36 X 48 in, 48 X 72 in.
- Made-to-measure options are available for this figurative canvas.
- We work with DHL, UPS, FedEx, USPS and additional couriers to keep delivery affordable.
- Free canvas stretching on wooden stretcher bars; custom framing available on request.
- We send a digital image of your figurative painting for approval before it ships.
