Portrait of Gainsborough Dupont - Thomas Gainsborough - Old Master Canvas Wall Art
About This Piece
Portrait of Gainsborough Dupont - Thomas Gainsborough - Old Master Canvas Wall Art suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a portrait oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a living room gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
Composition & Subject
1773
Oil on canvas
Waddesdon Manor - National Trust, Waddesdon, United Kingdom.
The figurative subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of classical oil painting wall decor.
How It Is Made
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Portrait of Gainsborough Dupont by eye and build up the figurative forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished portrait oil painting its luminosity.
