Portrait of Irene Montanet - Edouard Vuillard - Oil Painting
About This Piece
From the first sketch to the final varnish, Portrait of Irene Montanet is made by hand. Based on Edouard Vuillard's original. This post-impressionist oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants portrait oil painting with the character of an original.
The Story Behind the Painting
circa 1927
pastel on paper
Private collection.
The figurative subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of post-impressionist oil painting wall decor.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
Materials matter for post-impressionist wall decor. That is why this piece is built on artist-grade canvas with lightfast oil colors, applied by hand rather than output from a printer, and sealed for long-term display.
