Portrait of Johanna Staude (unfinished) - Gustav Klimt - Entryway Wall Decor
Product Overview
Portrait of Johanna Staude (unfinished) by Gustav Klimt is one of those images that never dates. Our studio recreates it as a hand painted oil painting — textured, color-rich, and ready to hang as canvas wall art in an entryway, study, or reception area.
The Story Behind the Painting
1917-18
Oil on canvas
Osterreichische Galerie Belvedere, Austria.
To what new development in his work might Klimt have led us? Would he have yielded even more to the influence of Schiele, with an even more savage eroticism? His uncompleted works leave the question unanswered.l Viennese with her gently rounded flesh, the obvious star of the picture.
Collectors often choose this figurative image when searching for portrait oil painting that feels substantial rather than decorative or disposable.
How It Is Made
