Portrait of Maxim Gorky - Akseli Gallen-Kallela - Oil Painting
About This Piece
Choose Portrait of Maxim Gorky as a hand painted oil painting and skip the compromise of printed wall decor. Based on Akseli Gallen-Kallela's original. Our artists rebuild the figurative composition stroke by stroke, producing vintage canvas wall art with lasting color depth.
The Story Behind the Painting
1906
Oil on canvas
The figurative subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of vintage oil painting wall decor.
Materials & Craftsmanship
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the figurative brushwork visible and gives the vintage oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
