Portrait of Mme. Rene De Gas, nee Estelle Musson - Edgar Degas - Hand Painted Oil Painting
About This Piece
Portrait of Mme. Rene De Gas, nee Estelle Musson by Edgar Degas is one of those images that never dates. Our studio recreates it as a hand painted oil painting — textured, color-rich, and ready to hang as canvas wall art in a hallway, study, or reception area.
About the Artwork
1872-1873
Oil on canvas
New Orleans Museum of Art, United States.
As hallway wall art, the piece pairs naturally with other impressionist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
How It Is Made
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Portrait of Mme. Rene De Gas, nee Estelle Musson by eye and build up the figurative forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished portrait oil painting its luminosity.
