The Story Behind the Painting
1782
Oil on canvas
Royal Collection Trust (UK) - Hampton Court Palace, United Kingdom.
The figurative subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of classical oil painting wall decor.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Portrait of Prince Edward, Later Duke of Kent by eye and build up the figurative forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished portrait oil painting its luminosity.
