About This Piece
Choose Portrait of Thadee Natanson (1868-1952) as a hand painted oil painting and skip the compromise of printed wall decor. Based on Edouard Vuillard's original. Our artists rebuild the figurative composition stroke by stroke, producing post-impressionist canvas wall art with lasting color depth.
About the Artwork
1907-08
Oil on canvas
Musée d'Orsay, Paris, France.
Every hand painted oil painting in this figurative series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
How It Is Made
Trained artists work in stages — underpainting, mid-tones, highlights, and detail — using traditional oils on canvas. Because nothing is printed, every hand painted oil painting has its own subtle texture and depth.
