Portrait of the Artist (Man with a Pipe) - Gustave Courbet - Canvas Oil Painting
About This Piece
Portrait of the Artist (Man with a Pipe) by Gustave Courbet is one of those images that never dates. Our studio recreates it as a hand painted oil painting — textured, color-rich, and ready to hang as canvas wall art in an entryway, study, or reception area.
About the Artwork
circa 1848-1849
Oil on canvas
Musée Fabre, France.
Every hand painted oil painting in this figurative series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
Expect subtle, hand-made variation rather than factory uniformity. Each figurative canvas is painted with oils, allowed to cure properly, and inspected before it is approved for shipment.
