Red Apples at the Foot of a Tree - Gustave Courbet - Oil Painting
Product Overview
For collectors searching landscape oil painting, Red Apples at the Foot of a Tree is a dependable choice. Painted in layered oils on canvas after Gustave Courbet, this vintage work reads equally well as classic canvas wall art and as a thoughtful housewarming gift.
The Story Behind the Painting
1871-1872
Oil on canvas
Neue Pinakothek, Munich, Germany.
The landscape subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of vintage oil painting wall decor.
Materials & Craftsmanship
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the landscape brushwork visible and gives the vintage oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
