Salem Willows (The Promenade, Salem Harbor) - Maurice Brazil Prendergast - Canvas Wall Art
About This Piece
Salem Willows (The Promenade, Salem Harbor) - Maurice Brazil Prendergast - Canvas Wall Art suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a seascape oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a gallery wall gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
Composition & Subject
1904
Oil on canvas
66.04 cm (26 in.) x 86.36 cm (34 in.)
Terra Museum of American Art, United States.
Every hand painted oil painting in this seascape series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
Materials & Craftsmanship
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the seascape brushwork visible and gives the vintage oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
