Seated Farmer's Wife with a Chicken in Her Lap - Franz Marc - Oil Painting
At a Glance
From the first sketch to the final varnish, Seated Farmer's Wife with a Chicken in Her Lap is made by hand. Based on Franz Marc's original. This expressionist oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants wildlife oil painting with the character of an original.
About the Artwork
1906
pastel gouache on paper
Schlossmuseum Murnau, Germany.
As gallery wall art, the piece pairs naturally with other expressionist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
How It Is Made
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for expressionist reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the wildlife tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed wildlife oil painting simply cannot match.
