Oil on canvas

Columbus Museum of Art, United States.
Social realist George Bellows captures a magical summer evening in New York, in 1909. The glow from the street lamps and the moonlight are the only sources of light in this otherwise dark painting. Riverside Drive is littered with couples, sitting on benches and walking along the path. The Hudson River acts as the backdrop to this forested path.
As dining room wall art, the piece pairs naturally with other timeless wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Summer Night, Riverside Drive by eye and build up the landscape forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished landscape oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this landscape oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give a dining room an instant focal point. Its timeless palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
Order Summer Night, Riverside Drive as a hand painted oil painting on canvas and add lasting timeless character to your dining room. Custom sizes, a digital proof before dispatch, and secure worldwide shipping are included.
