The Crossing of the River Berizina - 1812 - Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema - Canvas Oil Painting
About This Piece
Upgrade your walls with The Crossing of the River Berizina - 1812 - Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema - Canvas Oil Painting. Every landscape reproduction is painted entirely by hand, so the surface carries the depth and variation of an original oil painting rather than the flatness of a digital canvas print.
Composition & Subject
circa 1859-1869
Oil on canvas
Amsterdam Museum, Netherlands.
As bedroom wall art, the piece pairs naturally with other romantic wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
How It Is Made
Trained artists work in stages — underpainting, mid-tones, highlights, and detail — using traditional oils on canvas. Because nothing is printed, every hand painted oil painting has its own subtle texture and depth.
