The Departure of the Courier at Galatz - Albert Marquet - Oil Painting

At a Glance

Nothing softens a gallery wall like a painted surface. The Departure of the Courier at Galatz by Albert Marquet arrives as a hand painted oil painting on canvas, offering the fine art detail, soft gradients, and tactile finish that fine art oil painting shoppers look for.

The Story Behind the Painting

1933
Oil on canvas
Private collection.

Every hand painted oil painting in this fine art series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.

100% Hand Painted on Canvas

Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for fauvist reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the fine art tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed fine art oil painting simply cannot match.
